I’ve seen em all. Mela has awesome safe products that do enhance lives and the environment and you can make a damn good living promoting those facts. So please, stop the garbage and bickering and get on with helping others to improve their lives and the environment.

Con, great job. One more thing to add to what you said, “what you have seen on the bbb site is good”. If you want even better, picking up the telephone calling the bbb and the US Chamber of Commerce, when you get off the phone you feel very very good about the company.

Singing a sad song Bruce. The company is very strict about the way things are done. You have to be at a certain level to do a booth. Did you speak with your senior person to see if you could rent the booth with her/him? Also as far as paying on multi-levels, how do you think your products get paid for at the grocery/retailers where you spend so much money. They have to pay the manufacturer, the advertisers, the store where you purchase and the transportation. A company, i.e. the airline industry, when you purchase a ticket, the pilots, the reservations folk, the agency selling the ticket, their advertisers etc., all get paid. So everybody gets paid, but the big difference you failed to see is the company pays its customers and not all those other folk, which is why one can earn a substantial income. Have you ever heard of a customer being paid monthly and never telling anyone about the company or its products. This one does every month, just because the customer is loyal and shops there. When have you gotten a check from YOUR retailer for shopping there or for referring someone? I would guess NEVER and it’s not going to happen.

AND you know, when the company has been awarded 20+ humanitarian awards for its ethics and integrity, I would say, that’s all that needs to be said. When a company is not affected by the economy and they are debt free, again, that is all that needs to be said. You can’t get better than that.

It’s funny how the IRS doesn’t see the company as MLM. I have not seen an MLM company win 20+ awards in the lifetime history of the company; 24-years and more than 20 awards, that is huge.

This company is set so apart from an mlm. People need to educate themselves and know what the true difference is between an MLM and Consumer Direct Marketing.

Wow is all I have to say about the strength of the cool aid that Melaleuca gives to its distributors and the absolutely unbelievable ignorance displayed for all to witness! Melaleuca had got professional brain washing techniques down pat and to a science evidentally! Folks, you can call an outhouse a "comfort station" but that is just a euphemism for an outhouse. It's still a freakin outhouse! Calling Melaleuca something other than an MLM is evidence that either there is a profound ignorance within their company or profound deception, neither of which is commendable! I have been involved in this industry for almost 40 years and have personally seen every transition that has occured along the way. When I got involved in 1972, we didn't even have cassette tapes yet. We still used reel to reel tape recorders. We did carry inventory back then because that's just the way it was. We used a white board or a yellow legal pad to "draw the circles" on. Or in some cases it was expedient to use a napkin if we were in a restaurant and had a hot prospect that wanted to know about making money. I got some of the best personal development training a person could possibly receive. Back then a person had to be part Dale Carnegie, Zig Ziglar, and Tony Robbins to make it! You didn't prospect behind a website. You did it face to face or over the phone. If you couldn't do a one on one presentation or a home meeting for two hours, you didn't make it! Period! That was multi level marketing in its infancy. We have come a very long way, for which I'm very grateful. Melaleuca is an MLM company - period! Please someone sue me for saying that! I would love to take this to a court room before a jury to shut up the mouths of liars once and for all. Nobody in their right mind after hearing the evidence against Melaleuca's business model would NOT call it MLM! One of the biggest reasons for failure in our industry is a total lack of training! I can see that people in Melaleuca are getting trained in the art of subtle deception! Or maybe not so subtle. It's time for some truthfulness folks! You people who don't think melaleuca is MLM need to go to Tim Sales' site, http://www.FirstClassMLM.com for some basic training. I consider Tim to be one of the best trainers in the industry today! I have been with Melaleuca for years. I love Melaleuca. I don’t think that because they prefer to call themselves CDM as opposed to MLM means MLM is bad. It just isn’t how the company prefers to refer to themselves. We should all be happy we live in America, home of the free.

I am surprised that you do not know that roots of MLM.
MLM came from multiple levels of distribution.
Not multiple levels of compensation, everything about compensation in all business is paid on some type of a level of pay system.
On the othe hand MLM has the perception of something that could hurt people or get them to invest time and money in a product or service that is not of fair value or makes false claims.
The name MLM also attracts money games that take advantage of people.
I think any good company should stay away from the term MLM as they would be putting them-selves in that same bucket.

I was with Mela and was told how to skirt the MLM issue. I left because I didn’t like telling a half truth.

I haved just printed your presentation for New Horizons. On pages 21-24 your explanation of your comp plan is that of any mlm company out there. The arguement here is that you are miss representing your business to future customers by clouding the facts. One you are selling on one form or another and how you get paid is on mu;ltiple levels of compensation.
By your company clouding the facts you are futher adding to the distrust of the mlm industry. On page 23 of your New Horizon presentation How Melaleuca Shares Revenue column number two row two states Develop 1 Director. Row three says Develop 2 Directors and so on.
Page 24 Senior Director develop 5+ personal directors.
Looks like mlm to me.
