This is interesting news for those of you that follow Quixtar, Amway’s “Sister” Company in North America. Quixtar is dominated by different groups of teams. These motivational organizations, including World Wide Dreambuilders - WWDB, Britt World Wide - BWW, Internet Services, Network 21, Markerman, and TEAM (formerly Team of Destiny), all claim to hold the key to success.
However, China does not permit these types of organizations, yet growth in China is clearly outpacing U.S. growth. Perhaps the key to growth is to put the clamps on these teams that take advantage of the average distributor.
Amway has 180,000 active sales representatives (SRs) in China. Many used to belong to different groups led by the company’s authorized agents (AAs).
The new regulations do not permit sales teams, so all AAs and SRs are to be merged into one.
Anyone familiar with the company’s growth obsession, however, could tell that Cheng was just being modest.

It reminds me of a story. A man got caught speeding and lost his licence. His friend was sad for him - “how are you going to get to work?!?”. He replied - “the took my licence, not my car!”
There’s always a way. And in China all is not as press releases may make you think
