An “Outsider” Sums Up MLM

Alan Yu:

Based on what I know and from my personal experiences, network marketing seems like a perfectly viable way of generating an income. There are just so many scams and misrepresentations that you have to go through to find a legitimate opportunity to work with and for most people it’s just better to stay away from it all together. As I mentioned before, since people usually associate mlm with a pyramid scheme, I’ve seen countless amounts of alternative terms that company’s use to describe its business structure such as a consumer direct marketing company or a cooperative marketing company. Not only that, but a lot of people resort to misleading its opportunity by presenting it as a high paying job offer as a way to recruit potential candidates.

I have a saying about Network Marketing. Network Marketing isn’t as bad as the critics say, or as good as the promoters say. Keep that in mind when looking for an opportunity.

MLM is foremost about two things. Finding a company with a superior product/service and sound business PRINCIPLES, and INTEGRITY. Then if you are MORAL, HONEST, and ETHICAL…and are GENUINELY concerned about the person…and you have become an EXPERT in your chosen field, you can become a SOLUTION PROVIDER! Everybody loves to buy, but nobody likes to be sold to.
