Curious question if I may:
How do you suggest promoting a web site such as this in the least expensive yet most effective way?
I agree that having the web site is a must. It is always open and can answer basic (or even complex)questions and should be capable of allowing an opportunity to make money while you are occupied, but it is virtually useless if you cannot get people to know that it exists.
I know that there are paid ways to “get the word out”, but for the person that is just getting into a new business it would be nice if we/they had some other options.
Any suggestions?

If you want to have a website, you’ll have to give people what they want… INFORMATION. No sales pitch, no discussing your opportunity, etc.
A pure information only website with your contact info.
