Shares of network-marketing company Mannatech Inc. rose Monday, after the company said it expects to report fourth-quarter sales of $101 million, a 20 percent increase over the same quarter in 2004.
Mannatech shares rose $1.43, or 12 percent, to $13.54 in midday trading on the Nasdaq. Over the past 52 weeks, the stock has traded between $8.17 and $26.10 per share.The company, which develops and sells nutritional supplements and weight-management products through a network of independent salespeople, also said it expects 2005 sales of about $389 million, an increase of 32 percent from 2004.
Mannatech said it plans to release its fourth-quarter and full-year 2005 earnings before March 15.
