You’ve heard of Tupperware parties. Now there are Home Health Parties, and they may be coming to a neighborhood near you.
There are prizes, you might go home with some techniques for healthier living, and unlike Tupperware they won’t cost you a thing.
Julie Kay Humphrey, with Hand in Hand Multicultural Center, said the parties are part of a bigger project — Vitality, Vim and Vigor for Life — to help Ozarks children and adults eat healthier and adopt a more active lifestyle.
The two-year project is funded with a $300,000 grant from the Missouri Foundation for Health. Several Ozarks-area health, education and church groups helped develop the project, she said.
