Myth no 1: Melaleuca is not an MLM because “I don’t have to keep any inventory in my gargage”.
The Truth: Usana, Oasis LifeSciences, Xango, and even most of Quixtar (formerly Amway) do not have their distributors inventory products. All of these companies (and hundreds of others take orders over the phone and Internet and, yea, they are all MLM…just like Melaleuca.

The internet continues to change the way we do business and the way we shop. But that’s not the point. So your saying that all that’s required is to buy the business kits right? No product purchases are necessary because they are retailed. Through the internet, phone, fax, whatever. So now there are no products required to purchase for the business reps. The company makes money off the business kit materials instead of the products since the reps are not required to use them. I thought this is why they got in trouble in the first place. Did I miss something?
