Today, well-being is perceived as one of life’s most precious—and most enviable—assets. The financial investment that many of us are willing to make to achieve and project well-being would support the notion that well-being correlates with financial affluence. Indeed, if the growing popularity of spa retreats, day spas, medi-spas, nutritional supplements, and luxury-priced beauty products is any indication, the value we place on keeping ourselves looking and feeling great is growing.
