XanGo LLC, recognized creator of the mangosteen supplement category, today announced that Gary Hollister, CEO and Aaron Garrity, President, have received the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® Award for 2006 in the “Emerging� category for the Utah region.
Since its founding just 3½ years ago, XanGo has grown into an international company with more than 600 employees at its Lehi headquarters. Its flagship product, XanGo™ Juice, is sold by more than 500,000 independent distributors in 14 international markets. “XanGo has surrounded itself with people that continue to take us to new heights,� said Garrity.
“I do not accept this award on my own, this award really belongs to all of my partners for their vision in bringing this category-creating product to a worldwide market,� said Garrity as he accepted the award at the annual gala event held on Friday, June 16, 2006 at the Salt Palace Convention Center. He specifically singled out XanGo Co-Founder and EVP Joe Morton who “discovered� the mangosteen fruit while living in Malaysia a decade ago, recognizing it as a fruit with properties that would benefit people all over the world. “We dedicate tonight to Joe Morton who started it all and who began this company with a dream, and we are grateful to him,� he said.
