Good MLM Will Focus On Retail Sales

September 15, 2006 by Ty | 2 Comments

A good MLM will focus on retail sales as much or more than recruiting new distributors. If the products bring value, the company will be able to lead with the products and convert retail customers to distributors, not the other way around. If the focus is on recruiting and you have to buy a certain volume to be a distributor, this is not a good sign. This is more of a pyramid scheme than a legitimate business.

By offering 2 opportunities at the same time i.e., a Network Marketing Opportunity and a Wholesale/Retail Opportunity the distributor can truly generate a significant retail profit which encourages “leading with the product” At $5 per box our product is 100 to 300% below our competition’s price. If the distributor retails our product for $10 per box he or she has doubled their money and still provided their customer with product below the going market price.

    I agree!

I’ve been a distributor for natural vegetable-wax candles since 2006. When you offer a unique, quality product, the sales will come, especially for me and my niche of die-hard candle lovers.

A lot of people who initially buy the candles simply for the pure enjoyment of them eventually decide to sign up as distributors themselves. This makes it the perfect home business for them, as they are associated with a product they actually use, enjoy and really believe in.

There are some good, legit companies out there, and I, for one, am happy that I chose one that has an excellent product line to match an excellent business opportunity. It does work out well.
