“People purchase candles by the scent long before the color or shape,� said Moore. “The type of scent is usually determined by the season. Apple-cinnamon, pumpkin and vanilla sell best in the winter months, while lighter fruitier scents sell in spring and summer.�
Although the majority of people purchase a candle by its scent, to some the scent is the least attractive part of a candle.
