On a smaller scale, the entrepreneurial Glencoe-based Non Violent Toys started by Tiger alum Phil Siegel, has a licensed Major League Baseball version of its MixMatch game, an Oppenheim award-winner. In addition, it has found a new distribution channel by teaming up with Discovery Toys to offer an animal version of the matching game under the name Animal Twins ($14.99). The company’s items are deliberately non-violent and low-tech, Siegel said.
