Tupperware turns 60 this year. But the maker of iconic kitchen storage containers with its signature sales parties wants to be viewed as more than a clear-plastic relic of a more domestic era.
The Orlando, Fla., company has spent recent years updating products. It has also challenged fans to get creative with the plastic containers by holding a contest. The winners include an evening bag (made from sandwich containers), a kaleidoscope (nesting storage bowls) and a model race car (jelly molds for wheels).
