Dawn Morin of Woodstock, a mom and a sales representative for Discovery Toys, sees people spending large amounts of money on very young children, and it just isn’t practical.
“From the perspective of a toy seller, people spoil their kids,” she said. “In our family, we limit the gifts to one large present from Santa Claus and one large present, costing between $50 and $100 from us, with no limit on the amount of books our children receive.”
