In the 50 years since Tupperware introduced home parties, the concept has expanded to include cookware, lingerie, craft supplies, candles, tableware, art, purses and adult toys. In the jewelry category alone, there are make-your-own jewelry party companies, manufactured jewelry companies, and independent jewelers who sell their work at house parties.‘
‘It’s fun. It’s a good excuse to eat, drink and be merry and buy jewelry,’’ said Gail Paling of Raynham, who hosted a party for independent craft makers at her Randolph insurance company last month.
