The Oswego County Business Expansion Center in Oswego is continuing to undergo major transition. New businesses are arriving while a county agency is preparing to make the BEC its permanent headquarters.
The BEC, at 185 E. Seneca St., is owned and managed by Operation Oswego County, the county’s designated economic development agency.
Newcomers to the BEC scene are Mary Kay Cosmetics and Home Helpers. Both new tenants moved in Nov. 1.
Mary Searor, a sales director for Mary Kay Cosmetics, is utilizing BEC space to train and recognize her sales staff.

As an Independent Beauty Consultant myself, I know first-hand that when I sell a product, I earn a 50% profit which goes directly in my pocket. No one, including the Company, can take that away from me. I have several Sales Directors as friends of mine, and they make the exact same profit as I do on their own sales. No matter where you go in Mary Kay, your profit on products sold is still the same, and it’s all your own.
