Avon Upgrading Distribution Center

January 10, 2007 by Ty | 0 Comments

As per the current plan, Avon will build a state-of-the-art distribution center in the Midwest that will open in 2009. When the facility becomes fully operational, it will employ around 500 people and will have capacity to ship 50% of U.S. sales volume.

Once the initiative is fully implemented, the company expects to achieve annualized cost savings of approximately $35-45 million, as well as incremental benefits to working capital.
