(Jennifer) Azzi, an avid runner and dedicated fitness buff, started her own business - Azzi Training - in Salt Lake City and eventually began work for USANA Health Sciences. She is also a motivational speaker and serves on the board of directors for U.S. women’s basketball organization. She will attend the NBA All-Star Game in Las Vegas next month.

“She’s not one to sit back on her laurels,” Jim Azzi said. “She likes to go forward and she does just that.”

“Jennifer just seems to be blessed,” Donna Azzi said. “Things just sort of happen to Jennifer for the good.”

Good things like moving to Mill Valley. Ideally, Azzi wanted to purchase a house north of San Francisco. She was put in touch with Sarah Kowalczyk of McGuire Real Estate late last spring. They first looked at a two-bedroom, two-bath place in Sausalito that listed for $1.6 million. Azzi went from the Detroit Shock to sticker shock. She mentioned to Kowalczyk, who was not aware of Azzi’s basketball acclaim, that she had never been to Mill Valley so they started looking at properties there when Azzi was available.
