A shared vision made Family Crisis Services the ideal fit with Mary Kay Cosmetics — so perfect, in fact, the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation recently donated $20,000 to the Fremont County nonprofit organization.
“It will be a good day if just one more woman realizes how great she really is, was her motto, Mary Kay sales director Cindi Flower of Westcliffe said on Wednesday, speaking of the cosmetic powerhouse founder.
FCS executive director Tara Kane said that value was shared by the local organization as it provides support to victims of domestic violence and rape.
“Everything we do here is to enrich women’s lives, Kane said. “We empower victims.
Kane, Flower and other representatives of both FCS and Mary Kay joined together Wednesday for a tour of the nonprofit facility. The event was prompted by the $20,000 grant, which was awarded last October to help FCS with general operating expenses.
