While the association is focused on Latino business owners, others have been attracted to the organization. Neither Claymore nor Darrell Schoen, the organization’s treasurer, are Hispanic, but both are interested in working with the Latino business community.
“I originally became interested in joining a few years ago to build business relationships with the community, said Schoen, who owns a home-based business selling USANA Health Sciences nutritional products. “It’s been a very positive experience for me.
Claymore, who was born in northern Italy and whose husband is from Puerto Rico, said it’s been important for her to be involved on a personal and professional level.
