5 Network Marketing Tips

Dan Theta:

As an aspiring network marketer, you want to consume as much information on the subject as possible. So here are five tips for your own good:

1) Focus your marketing efforts on only your target method, no exceptions. Thinking that “everyone” needs whatever you’re selling, or your business opportunity, is a real easy way to waste time and effort. The best way to go is to target people who are already looking for what your business offers.

2) Pay attention to the few people who are willing to work, and don’t bother with the rest. You will inevitably get leads or sign ups from people who have absolutely no motivation to work with your business. Forget the deadbeats and focus on the hardworking, motivated people whom you are lucky enough to find.

3) Realize that network marketing is a numbers game. Your mindset should be similar to this: “You interested in this business opportunity? No? Okay, NEXT!” Don’t bother trying to change somebody’s mind when they have made the conscious choice that they’re not interested in your business. If anything use that rejection to motivate you to find the people who are interested.

4) Follow up on your leads. Most people will not buy something the first time they see it. They need to see it several times before they decide if it is right for them. Having an autoresponder and setting up a newsletter will make following up a lot easier for you.

5) Keep up with the times. As simple as this may sound you’d be surprised how many people aren’t up to date with what methods work and what doesn’t work these days. Do you like getting telemarketer calls or having salesmen show up at your door? I didn’t think so. Research methods such as social bookmarking and article marketing and use them with your business.
