WOOD RIVER, Ill., Aug. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — YTB International, Inc. (Pink Sheets: YTBLA.PK) (”YTB” or the “Company”), a provider of Internet- based travel booking services for travel agencies and home-based independent representatives in the United States, today announced its financial results for the three and six month periods ended June 30, 2007.
Total revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 increased 232% to $32.8 million compared with $9.9 million for the second quarter last year. Revenue generated from online travel store sales and monthly fees in the second quarter of 2007 was $23.3 million, compared to $7.4 million in the second quarter of 2006. Revenue from travel agency commissions in the second quarter of 2007 was $5.9 million, compared to $1.9 million for the same period last year. Also, training programs and marketing materials revenue increased in the second quarter of 2007 to $3.4 million, from $460,835 in the prior year quarter.

YTB has had some ups and downs recently but I think these quarterly earnings are a good indication that YTB is still going strong.

I had been a brick and mortar travel agent for twenty years, internet travel basically put me out of buisness. I have looked at most of the so called travel ooportunities and the only one that is truely a out of the box full service agency is YTB. They require the correct credentials and own, operate a legitimate travel agency with actual contracts with travel venders instead of contracting with operaters of what are basically travel search programs notactual booking engines.
