Mark Macey is more than 125 pounds lighter and $10,000 richer.
He won the grand prize in a $10,000 cash prize contest from Isagenix for the person who made the most remarkable change to their bodies and life while using Isagenix products.
“It was pretty wild,” said the Qualicum Beach man, who just got back from Las Vegas to collect his winnings at a Isagenix conference.
Macey figured he might take the grand prize before he arrived in Vegas, although no one said so outright.
“There was a number of little things that were starting to add up,” Macey said.
His son Jordan accompanied him to Vegas.
“I’m so proud of him,” Jordan said. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before, that smile on his face.”
Jordan said there were 3,000 people at the conference cheering for Macey and, “if there had been 10,000 people there, they would have all cheered for him too.”
Jordan said it was also a chance for him to share in Macey’s goals and accomplishments.
Macey started using Isagenix in March. He weighed more than or close to 400 pounds. His knees were on the verge of blowing out. His doctor said he couldn’t believe Macey hadn’t been stricken with diabetes and told him he’d have heart problems if he kept it up.
