Michael Reed and Alan Ezeir founded global Domains International, also known as GDI. Being an online business you have to have a domain. That is just the way the Internet works. Your customers need to be able to find you or you won’t be doing too well.When the Internet was really starting to grow, each country was assigned a domain name such as United Kingdom is .uk, the United States is .us, etc…. So, Michael and Alan had an idea to somehow get into this. They started searching every domain name for every country and finally found one that was so small that they would be able to use it and market it. This was the domains .ws that was actually for the Nation of Samoa.
