One of the Rochester area’s fastest-growing companies is a direct-sales firm akin to Mary Kay or Amway.But instead of cosmetics or soap, 5Linx Enterprises Inc. of Henrietta has mustered a small army of self-employed sales agents who sell telecommunications goods and services — including Internet service, wireless plans and telephone hardware — all over the world.
One of the company’s leading products is a video telephone that’s increasingly popular among immigrants who are eager to maintain a visual connection with their loved ones back home who use the same phone, said Craig Jerabeck, 5Linx’s CEO.
“We’re making the world smaller,” he said.
