In my soon to be released book on The 5 Key Essentials To Picking A Network Marketing Company, I talk about products. Having a unique product is vital for long term success in Network Marketing. That point apparently rubbed a MonaVie representative the wrong way. After I offered my opinion about MonaVie, I was told that I didn’t know anything and that no product compares with MonaVie in the marketplace which lead me do a little research where I found a comparison of MonaVie with a product called Perfect Acai.
I have no affiliation with Perfect Acai (or MonaVie), but I thought the information presented was interesting:
From PowerSupplements:
How much Acai is in your product?
PERFECT ACAI™: Perfect Acai contains 1,000mg (1 gram) of 100% freeze dried Sambazon Organic Acai per serving. There are 60 servings in a bottle. Most clients do 2 servings a day, so they get 2 grams of Acai per day and 1 bottle last 30 days.
MonaVie™ Juice: Unknown. Monavie is a proprietary blend of 19 fruits and there is no way to know how much Acai is in each serving.
What is the source of your Acai?
PERFECT ACAI™:Perfect Acai exclusively uses Sambazon 100% Freeze Dried Organic Acai. Sambazon Acai is Fairly Traded. Sambazon Acai is certified organic and is a member of the Fair Trade Federation.
MonaVie™ Juice: Unknown. A review of the Monavie website and promotional material does not state where they purchase their Acai from.
What is the price per serving of your product?
PERFECT ACAI™: One serving is 2 capsules and there are 120 capsules in a bottle. One bottle is $39.95 and if you buy 3 bottles the price drops down to $29.95 a bottle. One serving of Perfect Acai will cost between 50 and 67 cents.
MonaVie™ Juice:One bottle of Monavie juice is 25.35 ounces and cost about $45. One serving is 2 ounces. The cost per serving of the Monavie juice is about $3.55.
To be fair, MonaVie has other juices plus the active version contains glucosamine. In my research I also found dozens of comparable Acai liquid products, similar to MonaVie. You can see these on Google.

Just doing some basic research online I ran across your blog and then read the comment above from Mr Taylor. I dont have any problems with Monavie, but the latest product to hit the market, a 15 week old MLM company Jus International offers a superior product, with an ORAC score over 8600/oz, there is no comparison. With the success of Monavie, anyone would have loved to be in on the ground level, this can be acheived with Jus. Feel free to contact me for any more info.

Any more that an ORAC score over 5-6000 is worthless. The body will use the kidney’s to flush the excess out. Just ask Dr. Schauess.

Thanks for the detailed research Ty. I was considering trying out monavie (as a product, not the opportunity) since I’ve learned that mlm companies offer some of the best products. Unfortunately, many companies use the mlm business model to promote crappy products. That is why its important to do research be joining an mlm company or trying out their product. I know that you’re a big critic of Amway Ty. However I found that many of their products are fantastic and the price is totally justified by the quality. And I don’t mean to say that that is true for all Amway products, not by far. I say this while not actively building the Amway business.
Razvan on July 24th, 2008 at 10:46 am
I agree with James. An ORAC score over the 5000 mark isn’t of any use. It’s just too much so I think this Jus isn’t that good after all. Monavie is better!

I almost joined Monavie but I didn’t because I didn’t understand the acai thing a few years ago and the interest. My company now also uses the acai berry with chocolate, which seems to go over well with anybody. Who doesn’t like chocolate? I agree, after a certain level of 6-8000 ORAC your body will flush it probably. But, if you’re enjoying healthy chocolate or a juice in the meantime, it’s ok!!

There are many great products out there that are unique. Mon Avie has a great product. Even though there are many juice companies each offers its own niche. I chose to go a completely different direction with healthy chocolate. 99/100 people love chocolate and its a highly marketable product. This was the right fit for me.

Monavie has an orac score of 1027 per ounce but here is where things get tricky-Monavie is a juice blend and blends are inferior to 100% pure juice from concentrate for assimilation into your bllodstream which translates over to the fact you may need to drink half a bottle of Monavie to get the same orac value as an ounce of 100%pure tart cherry juice from concentrate or another new product I am now taking that is transported through a water delivery system with an orac score of 7000 per serving at $35 a month.New product info: godfamilymonavie@gmail.com

Laboratory Compares MonaVie Active vs. Vivix
Laboratory Studies Prove Vivix is More Powerful then MonaVie Active
Third-party laboratory clinical studies have proven Vivix to be more powerful, beneficial, higher in antioxidants, oxygen radical absorbance (ORAC), and overall healthy and well-being, then popular “super-fruit” products (like MonaVie, ZanGo, and Noni).
Furthermore, these same studies reveal that your nutritional company may be lying about the quality/value of its product. For example, MonaVie claims 1,000-1,250 Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC), but Brunswick Laboratories (July 16, 2008) ORAC test value was 610 for MonaVie Active – that’s less then half of the value that the company claims. Nonetheless, even if MonaVie could substantiate its claims of 1,000-1,250 ORAC, our revolutionary anti-aging product claims 5,000 ORAC, and laboratory test show 5,048 ORAC. That’s more then 5x the unsubstantiated MonaVie claims, and more then 8x its laboratory findings.
Plus, out of 14 domains of cellular anti-aging properties and overall general health, MonaVie Active only held beneficial to 5 domains out of 14 - * Six domains of anti-aging were tested, MonaVie Active only had an effect in one of the six anti-aging domains. On the other hand, Vivix proved to be beneficial on 12 domains of the 14 tested - * and had an effect on all six domains of anti-aging.
How reasonable would it be to continue using a less effective product? How rational is it to continue placing faith in a company that has lied to you?
Make a sound decision, switch to a company with integrity, honesty, and the most powerful products on the market. But, don’t just take our word for it: $250 million dollars have been invested in clinical research: 83,000 test are conducted each year to ensure product quality; more then 100 scientific papers, 90 of them published-peer-reviewed clinical studies all support product quality, performance, and safety. Additionally, over 2,000 research publications have referenced the ingredients in Vivix. These clinical research studies and over 50 patents assure our customers they are consuming the finest quality available on the market.

How about comparing either of the products to the only supplement that has peer reviewed, published, scientific studies bearing out the claims?
Study 1. This 14-day study examined the effects of GoChi on 13 key aspects of health and well being. Thirty-five test subjects were divided at random into two groups. The first group received 4oz daily of GoChi. The second group received 4 oz daily of a placebo (a similar-tasting juice that did not contain any goji). The GoChi group experienced significantly better results than the placebo group in all 13 categories. Since the study was double-blind, neither FreeLife’s scientists who conducted the study, nor its employees, who served as the study’s participants, knew if they were drinking the real GoChi or the inactive placebo.
Study 2. This 30-day antioxidant study was conducted by a prestigious medical center in Asia. Fifty healthy adults were divided at random into two groups, a GoChi group and a placebo group, who received 4oz daily servings of either GoChi or the inactive placebo, respectively. The test subjects were not associated with FreeLife and had never consumed Himalayan Goji Juice or GoChi. After 30 days, the GoChi group showed highly significant increases in blood levels of two key antioxidants, and also showed a significant decrease in a key marker of toxic free radical activity. No significant improvements were seen in the placebo group.
Study 3. This 30-day immune study was conducted by a prestigious medical center in Asia. Sixty healthy adults were divided at random into two groups, a GoChi group and a placebo group, who received 4oz daily servings of either GoChi or the inactive placebo, respectively. The test subjects were not associated with FreeLife and had never consumed Himalayan Goji Juice or GoChi. After 30 days, the GoChi group showed significant improvement in the body’s immune system, as evidenced by increased levels of three key immune markers. No significant improvements were seen in the placebo group.”
Does Monavie have in situ studies.? no
Sambazon? no
Any other juice supplement? no

God created enzymes in our bodies to use, store, and breakdown food as it exits our lower intestine. By injesting a product that is all ready so far broken down i wonder about its true nutritional content. Dont be fulled” remember the lord has created what we need like natural fruit from the tree. To change or contort gods natural design for nutrition is again mans attempt at thinking he is superior to his maker.

There are many decent product out there to promote good health, but my opinion is that nothing compares to MoanVie. Not only are there tons of people who swear by it but the company offers you a way to get it for free. I have been drinking it for over a year and have never felt better. When I first joined, it was only to drink it, I had no interest in the business. Then one day it hit me. If I feel this great then surely others will too once they start drinking it. I told a few people about it and within a few months I was drinking it for free. Now I make money and drink it for free. It’s awesome. Get it from this site and just try it.

Wow..what a lot of opinion, misinformation, and misinterpretation of data going on in here.
Regarding Mona Vie, there are far superior products to Mona Vie, so you can stop with the hype! The Men’s Journal magazine in fact recently did a comparison test with an independent lab on some of the more well known MLM and non-MLM products including Mona Vie, and measured ORAC value, nutritional and antioxidant content, etc.
Mona Vie ranked at the bottom! Welch’s grape juice scored higher!
Second, Free Life and their Goji product is not the only product in MLM with clinical studies on their particular product! VEMMA has them! By the way, The Men’s Journal rated VEMMA the best overall liquid nutritional and antioxidant of those reviewed in their comparison test.
Per ounce, VEMMA has 3 1/2 times the ORAC value of Mona Vie! It’s fine to have an opinion, but facts and opinion are 2 different things!
Furthermore, until you have a clinical study involving humans using the product, you can’t say for certainty what it’s doing in the body! Period-end of story! Many of the studies on which people form their opinion have been done using mice and rats, or in a test tube, and while some have shown promising results, many have never been able to be duplicated in humans!
The number of ingredients and what ingredients are shown on the label has nothing to do with the quality of the product! You can’t extrapolate, as one woman did here, that because “X” has been shown to do A, B, C in a study or anecdotally that therefore since “X” is in your product that your product does A, B, and C. Sorry, it doesn’t work that way!
Finally, Dr. Poi, MLM companies don’t give an exclusive! I happen to be in Kolkata currently as our company is just now expanding into India! Let’s meet!
We have a product that is considered one of the world’s leading liquid nutritional and antioxidant products based on clinicial studies, independent lab tests, and have many of the world’s leading doctors that recommend our product!
Unlike many others, I am not going to say VEMMA is the best as “the best” often is a subjective opinion, so I am going to say it’s one of the best and leave it at that…but when you’ve got clinical studies and independent and well known magazines giving you the title of the best overall product after comparison tests using an independent lab, well that’s the kind of scientific credibility and publicity that other products and companies aren’t getting, but we are.
My partner and I are considered MLM legends, each with over 25 years in the industry, primarily in the health and wellness field, having had combined teams of more than 500,000 distributors and group sales of $2 billion in 2 programs prior to VEMMA where we are some of the top leaders with the #1 international group. In fact, we have over 600 doctors just in our European group. We are just now opening in India!

I attended a Mona Vie MLM meeting and although the people were very nice and very accommodating; I was concerned at so little they seemed to know about the product itself and the exact ingredients that go into their product other then a special juice formulated of 19 fruits with the main active ingredient being the Acai berry. I am concerned about whether people who are already on medications for their illnesses will experience adverse reactions in taking this juice mixture along with their other medications. My concern is for the older people who will pay to get their hands on anything that might remotely help their conditions and improve their health.
I have been told that the acai berry has produced amazing results, based on people being healed by the very product that is produced by Mona Vie. I believe that these people who gave testimony are very sincere and they care about the health and wellbeing of others, but they are also driven by fast money promises and so called “No brainer” theories along with expensive monetary rewards.
