Two Schaumburg super saleswomen were treated royally at the recent Mary Kay Annual Convention held at the Dallas Convention Center.
Donna Jocellis and Eve Jones, two expert Independent Beauty Consultants, attended week-long seminars held over a five-week period to accommodate all MK consultants.A beauty consultant for 17 years, Jocellis went on her trip during MK’s Pearl week, where she was recognized for being in the $300,000 Club.
The career consultant Jones, with 30 year’s experience, went downstate to where the nights are big and bright during Sapphire week and shone as one of the cosmetic company’s Senior Sales Directors. It was a week of training, inspiration, motivation, recognition and entertainment.
“The seminar is not all work,” said an enthusiastic Jocellis. “There’s a fun, camaraderie atmosphere and a wonderful Broadway-style show, too.”
Nearly 20 years ago, after college, Jocellis went to work in a corporate job that turned out to be very stressful. She yearned for something different and her aunt Darlene Berggan came to the rescue.
With literature on MK, she encouraged her niece to make the move. It was challenging at first, but Jocellis wanted to teach others about skin care and also realized she liked working for herself.
