Amway Launches New Products Before Puja

Amway India Enterprises Private Ltd, the country’s leading direct selling company today launched a slew of products here targeting the ‘puja market’.


The ‘great value products’ priced between Rs 19 to Rs 75 and range from coconut oil, shaving cream, disposable razors to hair cream said Mr Diptarag Bhattacharjee, vice president (east) of the company and Mr Rajat Banerji, manager, corporate communications at a Press conference here today.

Amway has also rolled out a new nutritional drink called Nutrilite Kids Banana for children.

The company launched a festive gift catalogue comprising 11 core products and 29 non coreline products to boost its festive sales.
Mr Bhattacharjee hoped to ride on the sale of the great value products and attain the Rs 1000 crore mark as against a turnover of Rs 800 crore last year.

The company has grown from Rs 91 crore in 1998 to Rs 800 crore in 2007, he noted. As far as Orissa was concerned the company has achieved a Rs 20 crore target and aims to increase this to Rs 30 crore during the year. There are 23,000 active Amway distributors in Orissa, he said.
