What is it about the products you offer that makes them so easy to market to customers‭?‬

The uniqueness of Miessence is the fact that they are food standard certified organic.‭ ‬In the‭ ‬US there are no definitions or labeling standards for the terms‭ “‬organic‭” ‬and‭ “‬natural‭” ‬when it comes to cosmetic and personal care products.‭ ‬Miessence is unique in that many of the products meet the third party independent organic food certification.‭ ‬That is the only way to know if a personal care/cosmetic product is truly organic is if it has a third party food standard organic certification.

Why did you decide to join a network marketing company over other options available to you‭?‬

This is something I never imagined I would do.‭ ‬I have never purchased a product or seen a product from a network marketing company that I would personally use.‭ ‬So I was quite surprised when I found the Miessence products.‭ ‬I was drawn to the products first and then to the business opportunity.‭ ‬I was not actually looking for a business opportunity at the time but the products and company philosophy resonated with me in such a significant way that I‭ ‬knew it was a good choice for me.‭ ‬I have been stay at home mom for‭ ‬14‭ ‬years when I discovered ONE Group and Miessence products.‭ ‬I was thinking about going back to work but,‭ ‬after being home and being my own‭ “‬boss‭” ‬for so long I knew it would be difficult for me to work for someone else.‭ ‬It just made sense for where I was in my life at the time.

What have you learned about business since you joined One Group,‭ ‬and how has that helped you grow Ely Organics‭?‬

Oh this is a good question.‭ ‬I have learned a lot about business but I am constantly learning more all the time.‭ ‬This is a process of evolution.‭ ‬There is so much to learn.‭ ‬Writing business plans,‭ ‬taking care of finances.‭ ‬Staying focused,‭ ‬making plans and goals,‭ ‬learning about sales and communication and marketing.‭ ‬There is a lot to learn.‭ ‬I have been learning about all of this but it’s not easy and there are only‭ ‬24‭ ‬hours in a day.‭ ‬It’s a process,‭ ‬you take it one day at a time and try not to let it overwhelm you.

What inspired you to become an entrepreneur‭?‬

I had not planned to be an entrepreneur.‭ ‬What made me interested is that I wanted to be in charge of my own time.‭ ‬Do things in my own way and have control over how I did them.‭ ‬That is the motivating factor to be my own boss and grow my business the way I want to do it.

Where would you like to see yourself and your business in the next‭ ‬5‭ ‬years‭?‬

I would like to see myself not having to struggle so much.‭ ‬Now I am learning and growing my business in‭ ‬5‭ ‬years I would like to see my business at the level where I do not have to be working it constantly.‭ ‬I still plan to be busy and growing the business but not at the same pace.‭ ‬Now I work every minute that I can.‭ ‬As I learn more about what works and does not work,‭ ‬I will be able to use the information and skills that I have developed in this early phase to be more financially successful and also utilize my time more efficiently.

How during the average week is spent on working and what are some of your secrets to keeping your business growing‭?‬

Right now,‭ ‬I work every hour that I can in between taking care of my family.‭ ‬I get up early and stay up late learning and working on my website,‭ ‬reading about business,‭ ‬marketing,‭ ‬Search Engine Optimization,‭ ‬sales,‭ ‬social networking,‭ ‬blogging.‭ ‬There is a lot.‭ ‬My business is primarily internet based so my focus tends to be on internet strategies to bring more traffic to my website and to make connections with other like minded people to work together and to find new customers.‭ ‬The secret to keeping my business growing is the constant quest to learn more about growing the business and having the patience and persistence to keep working at it.‭ ‬It’s a process,‭ ‬one that a person has to be committed to.‭ ‬There will be mistakes and a lot of learning goes on with making mistakes it also helps take you to the next level.‭ ‬One secret that I will share about growing a business like this is to find like minded people to work with.‭ ‬Finding quality people to work with is better than finding numbers of people to work with.‭ ‬It’s best to be particular about the type of people you bring into the business.‭ ‬Many people are not willing to do the work that it takes to build a business.

What is the hardest part about running your business‭? ‬What is the most rewarding‭?‬

The hardest part is figuring out how to make the business profitable,‭ ‬successful and rewarding.‭ ‬It’s not easy to be in business for yourself.‭ ‬The most rewarding is when something that you have been working on pays off.‭ ‬This requires a lot of patience.‭ ‬There are many days when you wonder if it’s really going to work and then it will all fall into place and you’ll have that great feeling of satisfaction.‭ ‬I feel like it’s a huge reward that I can be home with my family and put my family first ahead of my business.

My advice is,‭ ‬this is like any other business.‭ ‬If you really want to be successful,‭ ‬it requires work,‭ ‬effort,‭ ‬focus.‭ ‬It’s not a get rich quick scheme.‭ ‬Because there is a lot of hype on the internet about working from home and making millions of dollars,‭ ‬people are mislead into thinking they can come into a business like this,‭ ‬earn a lot of money and do very little work,‭ ‬this just is not true.‭ ‬It’s important to work with someone that is knowledgeable about the company and how to make the business work.‭ ‬The truth is that very few people ever make money in network marketing business because they have the false impression that it does not take work to build the business.‭ ‬
